Hello! Thanks for visiting. My name is Maria, and I'm an actor based in New York City. I'm also very willing to travel. In fact, I love traveling. Some of my adventures abroad include studying playwriting in Provence, parasailing over France's dreamy southern coast, and retracing the humble footsteps from my parents' childhood in the mountains of southern Calabria, Italy.
The youngest of four in a very outspoken Italian family, I was a shy, quiet child. It was not until I was 17 years old that I discovered I was capable of commanding people's attention when I performed in my first play. Since then, I have gone on to receive a BA in Theatre and Performance from SUNY Purchase College, NY and studied with some of New York City's greatest instructors from the Stella Adler Studio of Acting and Weist Barron Studios. I have also performed in both Off Broadway and regional theater, film, and commercials.
I love sinking my teeth into intense, meaty roles of intelligent, passionate characters, whether it is a survivor of war crimes, an activist, or a grieving wife and mother. I also love flexing my comedic muscles in commercials, or on the stage as a member of The Actor's Project NYC (theactorsprojectnyc.com). Feel free to browse my site's pages for more info about my past productions, upcoming shows, and more. You can also check out my IMDB page. Thanks again for stopping by.
